Bot update 2021

Hey everyone it’s me Builderb i’m the owner of Waifu bot which has been running since april 2018!

I would like to announce the latest features i have been working on and taking advantage of new Discord functionality to improve the bot.

Invite Bot

Setup Command

Setting up the bot is now quick and easy thanks to our new setup menu with interactive buttons and dropdowns you can change stuff with w/setup

Users with manage server permission can change server settings such as prefix welcome messages enable/disable commands anti-ads anti-scam (enabled by default) slash commands color roles

User settings have now been fixed! you can set an embed color, profile description and icon set using w/set icon or the w/setup command.

Anti-ads

Users with Manage Server permissions can now setup anti-ads which will delete discord invites from normal users unless they have kick members permission.

Waifu bot used to have this feature before but we have revamped it entirely with the ability to auto mute, disable warning messages or logging deleted ads to a channel.

Anti-scam

This feature has been enabled by default in all servers and is globally protecting 150,000 servers by blocking any malicious websites.

You may have already seen this but it’s running for a few months now and Waifu bot is the best way to block them with a system in place to detect them and uses and API for any new domains that popup.

Is your server plagued with scam links? Invite Waifu bot to protect your server and users so noone gets their account hijacked.

Timestamps

Discord has recently added timestamps as a message format which can show the time or date of something in a message. You can see this reddit post for more info.

We have updated a few features with these timestamps such as myanimelist user profiles and Discord user/server/role info commands.

Slash Commands

If you have not already checked out slash commands Waifu bot has them with a few commands that already support this.

When you invite Waifu bot you will notice that it has some default slash commands set.

Users with Manage Server permissions can add/delete slash commands using the w/slash command.

Some command may require downloading data we now have Waifu bot showing a loading status when this happens. Once complete it will edit the original loading message with the command.

Permission Management

We have now added new commands to help with permission management.

The w/adminroles command will show a list of roles that have admin including roles below you. It will also list bots that have admin permissions so you can easily manage them.

We also added a w/perms command that will show the current user their permission in the server.

Other bug fixes and tweaks

• Added w/revolt command that shows our Revolt Chat server which we now have and we will be porting over Waifu bot too.

• Recoded a few things for w/user with better functionality and making sure roles and join date show.

• Fixed user data for embed colors and showing profile description on w/user

• Fixed a few commands not working properly with slash commands and added support for some others.

• Fixed anti-scam config warn and mute disable not working.

• Updated w/rps command to disable buttons when the game ends.

• Updated anti-scam to handle links better and warning timeouts.
